What We Do
Doggy Day Camp
We provide an inviting, fun, friendly atmosphere for your pup to meet new friends, socialize, and play. We do a lot of year-round hiking and seasonal swimming in the lake. It’s a great supervised way for a dog to live his or her best life.
Solo Dog Walks
A 30-minute walk around your neighborhood, including leash training, sniffing for mental stimulation, and potty breaks for dogs of all ages.
Group Hikes
Our 1-hour group hikes, on leash or off, focus on the freedom to run and play while actively working on recall, safe group socialization, and play. Pick-up and drop-off is included.
Dog/Cat Sitting
We give them one-on-one specialized care and companionship and age-appropriate exercise, along with all the love and snuggles they can stand.
Camp Happy Hound
About Us
Camp Happy Hound is not a place where dogs are limited to a small outdoor slab to use the bathroom or “play.” We are located on a beautiful lake, where dogs have the option to run and play and swim to their hearts’ delight. We also take frequent field trips to hike in the woods.
We don’t believe in just “sitting” your dog, we believe in enriching your dog’s life. This is a small, intimate, family-run and -owned business and we have the great advantage of getting to know each dog in our care very well, which also helps us determine what is best for the well-being of the pack as a whole.
Camp Happy Hound is truly a place where your dog can spend time away from you in a “home away from home” setting. We know that anyone who chooses to enroll their pet at Camp Happy Hound wants their dog to get stimulation, exercise, love, and affection during the hours their parents can’t be with them. We strive to create an environment which you feel good leaving your dog in. Our hounds are truly happy at Camp Happy Hound, and so are we. And you’ll be able to vicariously experience your dog’s adventures via daily updates, pictures, and videos.
